About this Course

Join artist Jarred Genaille of Indigicree Hoop Dancing Co. to learn about the traditional art of hoop dancing. This session includes a presentation on the history and significance of the dance form, live performance, and a participatory workshop. Free, all ages welcome, registration required. Please consider dressing appropriately for movement and dancing. . Jarred Genaille is Cree and Salteaux with band membership to Cowessess First Nation. He is the Founder and Owner of IndigiCree Hoop Dancing Inc. When Jay is not performing, sharing his story or teaching workshops you can find him supporting Indigenous people, in the gym, somewhere in the forest or at the hockey rink watching his son play hockey.
